i rented this japanese anime show for ds to watch to improve his chinese. end up, i cried for 3/4 of the show till ds regretted putting it on. i was literally pouring... sob sob sob.... much much more than stairway to heaven....

google on grave of the fireflies and read the sypnosis, then go get the show. it's definitely worth watching.

now, i have to ask dh and all my family members to watch.

yah it's very sad. you wouldnt expect a cartoon to be that sad. i saw Giant was selling the Studio Ghibli collection for pretty cheap. the same studio that did Spirited Away, Totoro etc. Best to watch in Japanese tho, to not lose its original soul.

got dh to watch last nite. he too cried like a baby. i cried for a second time. now
