My babies were born 1 month premature and they just recieved their 6 in 1 and rotavirus jabs on their 2nd month that they were born. The PD had warned that one of the side effects was fever and gave us paracetamol for the bbs just in case, but she said only a small percentage of bbs get it, so we didnt worry abt it. The next day they developed fever 39 deg we gave them the medicine that the PD gave. fever went down after taking the med but went up again to 39 again a few hours later, as the med has worn off. I gave them the med again.. so now monitoring closely..

i checked up the internet to try to find out how long such fever will last but didnt get an answer, but i found articles that says should take vaccinations one by one and not those super jabs like 6 in1 as it could be too strong for the babies. etc.. sigh. give me a fright. i'm worried about the fever as they are so young. What if the fever cause further side effects like damage their internal organs/ brains sad.gif their corrected age is only 1 month but doc say jabs shd be based on actual age so taking the 6 in 1 jab now is fine.

any one of ur babies has fever side effects? how long does it last?

my dd had fever on her first jab. it just lasted on that day and night. next mornng ok liao. should not be longer i think. fever is the body reacting to the medicine.

my PD's take is base more on the weight of bb and corrected age to give the jab.
