Picking up from where we last left it .

Due to time constraint, we will not be able to carry out full fledged Charity Drives like before.

But if it's to the same Old Folk's home that we're familiar with, i may be able to draw up something with my mom's club of aunties again.

Else - We shall consolidate some money & donate it to a selected home - may it be Orphanage or Old Folks.

Fund Collection of IdoBB's 3rd Charity Drive shall close either on the 19th or 26th of December - depending on our donation date, the 20th or 27th of December. TBA.

Transaction receipts will be posted here after the donation for transparency purposes.

We seek your generiosity to help the less fortunate this Christmas, every cent counts!

Alternatively, shall we donate the money directly to Community Chest so that a wider spread of charitable organizations can benefit from it? Or we can use the money to buy lots of daily necessities from NTUC and unload them all to the Boys Brigade sharity box.

i like this idea of dropping off the necessities to the community chest,
if our money collected is huge amount,
perhaps we could even call up NTUC to see if they can deliver on behalf of us to the community chest box...

The Boys Brigade will gladly collect the daily essentials and deliver them to the homes of the needy.

Their Sharity Gift Boxes are conveniently located at selected NTUC branches. So we can even make this an IdoBaby outing to buy the necessities and drop off the items directly.

i prefer the part where boys brigade come and collect from us, a designated location where we drop off all necessities...

serene, let me know how i can help, i can't log in regularly, so if possible, do sms me your account number to transfer the number to or if you decide to adopt this boys brigade thing, let me know if you need help in purchasing the necessities.

Donation drive will end at 16 Dec 2008 2359hrs. All money collected will then be used to buy standard daily essentials at a selected NTUC and deposit straight to the Boys Brigade Sharity Box.

CowBoo dear, can you provide an account for all donors to transfer their pledged amount to?

Meanwhile, i will start a poll for interested parties to choose which NTUC to use as our meeting ground.

Dear all,

Due to all our busy schedules, i realised getting everyone together to share the joy of giving is near to impossible.

As such, instead of transferring the money to me to buy all the stuffs, kindly purchase the essential items directly online from NTUC Fairprice. They will trasnfer the stocks to the Boys Brigade directly.

Please click HERE to donate.

On behalf of all beneficiaries, i thank all of your kindness. Merry Christmas!

Yah. Too few people can spare the time to make this event a meaningful one. So since most can only make monetary donation, then there's no point in organising any large scale drive. Everyone can easily donate the pledged sum at the comfort of their own PCs.

well i thought it's timely to just put up a reminder, amidst all our xmas shopping: it's been a tough year but it was tougher on others so pls give generously to your charity of choice!

fairprice.com.sg selling the gift hampers for the BB Sharity Drive at $20, $30 and $50, just a few clicks and you're good to go!

I have increased my charity drive to the senior citizen activity centre to 4 times per year. I am also bringing a group of 60 old folks for a local day tour in Jan 2010.
