Hi all,

the doctor I am seeing delivers in both TMC and Mt alvernia.
Can I check, is Mt alvernia good? Do they have stuff like goodie bags for first-time babies, nurses friendly etc?

i feel mount A is gd.. they have goodie bag.. and a tub and blanket with hood.. thinkmost hospital have goodie bag.. nurses r very friendly and patient with us first time mum and they will guide u slowly how to breastfeed..

MT A beats TMC hands down...i went to Mt A for both my DDs, both times service excellent, ended up entending my stay cos i got no mood to go home haha...then for my 3rd delivery, chose TMC cos wanted to ligate...sucked man...i pressed the nurse bell 3 times also no one come, in the end my SIL had ot look for nurse at all the wards cos the nurse table also not even 1 nurse around...then the nurses, also never bother to give me my baby on time for his feed, somtimes i only get him like 4 plus hrs later for his feed, by then he hungy like crazy...Mt A, always give baby for feeding on time wan. Regret going to TMC for delivery.thanks goodness i never going back there again...PHEW

then i forgot to add, i was so pissed with service at TMC, i told gynae, i wanna discharge after 2 days(C-section somemore wor) then when discharge, everything so rushing, they amost forgot to give me the health booklet..as for the freebie thingy, u can check out the individual webby to see what they give...TMC gave vest, blanket and mittens...dun know wat Mt A gives now...

Mt A all time fav, still going there if got #3

I just got discharged 2days ago from Mt A. Their service 'Good' er!!! No second thoughts. Call for the nurse sure come one. They respond very fast. Treat you like a queen! They still give u a tub. Baby items like pampers, wipes, blanket, baby wash items, mittens, booties, dettol + one set of clothes to be worn dont know 3 years down the road( useless lah) and others. Cant remember liao. Go check out Mt A. Think the price with TMC does not varies much bah.

I delivered at Mt A too. Love it! Now I still miss my stay there...

The nurses are v prompt in bringing ur baby for u to feed..gd gd gd..if u got not enuff milk they will offer to give bb drink water or they feed for u...nice leh....

I love Mount A too.
Delivered my both kid there and the service was excellent.
The first one was 4 years ago, premature birth and my son had to stay in the NICU. Their nurse was excellent.
The second one was 5 months ago, natural birth, their service stil as gd as ever. I press the bell in the middle of the night and the nurse will help me also. They even have personal service like help to bring you to the toilet and teach you personal hygiene on how to take care and wash your wound after birth.
Midwife also excellent. Thumb up for the staff, midwife,nurse, food and room.

Gng to Mt A to give birth for my third baby coming this July. Love their service so much.

me too...sure to go back to mt a if have 2nd one...nurses are good and most important the food is super good...

I decided to choose Mt Alvernia then... (I've never been to TMC before because my detailed scan is at Mt Alvernia)

too bad they dun do ligation, if they did do ligation sure go back there for my #3 already...so no choice had to choose TMC instead...

actually i love kids, but in this age and time, i tink 3 enuff liao, somemore i dun trust DH and myself, so better ligate!!!

YA..i rem the nurse 'kiao' me up frm my bed to go toilet to try to pee..she was behind me sscared i fall or faint...then stand there tell me how to clean the wound after pee..so nice...

same lor initially i wanted ligation then was told tat Mt A dun allow ligation so after alot of consideration n dun like the idea of going to TMC END UP still going back to Mt A on my #2 w/o doing ligation~
