Hi did anyone here pray Chuan Mu?

Yes.. my neighbour told me before & i do it after listen to him... Actually alot of old people believe in this. To pray "Chuan Mu" is to let your baby & kid sleep peacefully throughout the nite.

Yes I did pray. I have just pray last week cos he is quite cranky that few days.

nvr heard of anything like this.

i only saw ppl go pray to duno who when their child misbehave

What is purpose of praying chuan mu?

Old wives tales saying they will look after the bb while sleeping etc. So that they won't wake up in the middle of the nite crying crying.

but where can we pray to chuan mu ?

Chuan mu is to pray at the bedroom or bed. Bcos buddhist believe there is God at the Bed so that why we cant cut our finger nails at the bed or sewing on the bed.

What i do is that i get some "Chuan Mu joysitck and burning paper" from the joystick shop & put some fruits at the bed where baby sleep & start to pray by saying some good words like " Please help to let my child sleep thru the night without crying, etc". The crying reduce after praying. Some people might not believe but i think no harm trying anyway.

It is actually a Taoist believe, not Buddhist.

Normally I will pray with joss sticks and burning papers and a packet of roast pork rice without sauce.

i heard before but never pray.....
and we pray Kwang in pusak and buddha so...we are not trying also...and my bb last time not crying in the middle of the night ....maybe i lucky too.. .ya some of my freind have pray....cos their bb also cry middle of the night...
i respect what people do...eventhoght iam not pray.....for their own good....

and also respect all the buddha and "sheng ling".....and other religion....
